Gambling Research Exchange Ontario (GREO) - Webinar

1)  Dr. Chantal Robillard, Quebec University, will lead a presentation and discussion that includes:

.  a brief overview of responsible gambling (RG) programs and tools available in Canada;
.  the current state of knowledge on RG;
.  the limits and future directions for RG initiatives.

2)  Directed Research Projects


The GREO is accepting applications for research projects aligned with the following Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation directed priorities:

Digital Technologies, the objective:  to examine the impact of evolving technologies, mobile technologies and player support tools.

Sports Betting, the objective:  to gain a better understanding of the sports betting player profile including knowledge, behaviours and participation.

Self-Exclusion – Breaching, the objective, to understand breaches and why they occur (i.e., specific populations that breach, breach predictability, and possible differences in sub-populations).

maximum $50,000 for 1 year
Projects will begin July 31, 2018.

Application process:
The GREO notice of intent deadline is May 10, 2018.  The application deadline is June 8, 2018.
